Construction Inspection
This project involved the replacement of watermains at several locations along the NJ Turnpike. In addition, miscellaneous upgrades were made at the locations including installation of concrete curbs and reconstruction of pavement.
Malick & Scherer, P.C. was responsible for construction inspection services for all watermain replacements and additional work.
Watermains were replaced at the following locations:
Pleasant Plain State Police Barracks, Milepost 83.8
Trenchless installation, directional drilled
Interchange 109 Toll Plaza, Milepost 109.8 to 110.4
Raritan Toll Plaza Safety Building, Milepost 125.6
Maintenance Yard (TMD-10), Milepost 112.7S on the Turnpike roadway western spur
Other Major Construction Items in this project included:
Fire Hydrant and above ground Water Meter Enclosure Installation
Asphalt, Sidewalk, and Curb Repairs/Restoration
Milled and paved with two layers of aggregate base course and top courses at all areas disturbed by watermain installation at the four facilities
A total of 45.50 Square Yards of concrete sidewalk installed
A total of 252 Linear Feet of concrete curb Type A installed
